2025 Spring Art Classes 

Welcome to the Bonaventure Comics Art Studio! We specialize in teaching classic drawing and painting skills, so that we can better appreciate God's beautiful creation! You and your family are most welcome in our studio!

Please use this form to register for art classes offered in the spring at Bonaventure Comics Art Studio. The classes will be four per month taking place from March to June at $80 monthly tuition. Payments must be received each month by the fifth day of the month. A $10 late fee will be applied if received after the fifth of the month.

Classes for grades 1 through 6 will be parent with child. Parent/Guardian will get a -$60 discount, paying $20 per month. Parents learn to draw and paint too!

***Parent must be with child for art classes grades 1 through 6. Child(ren) cannot be dropped off without a parent present the entire class***

Supplies will not be provided. There will be an expected supply list for each drawing and painting class available on the website at bonaventurecomics.com!

CLASS DATES AND TIMES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Foundational still life drawing and painting classes for children grades 1 through 6, will be on Saturdays mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.These classes are PARENT WITH CHILD. These classes provide an opportunity for both parent and child will learn together foundational drawing and painting skills in charcoal and oil paints! Classes will take place on the following dates: March 8, 15, 22, 29. April 5, 12, 26. May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31. June 7, 14, 21, 28

Foundational Illustration and cartooning classes (prerequisite: foundational still life drawing and painting) for children grades 1 through 6, will be on Saturdays mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.These classes are PARENT WITH CHILD. Both parent and child will learn together foundational drawing and painting skills in charcoal and oil paints! Classes will take place on the following dates: March 8, 15, 22, 29. April 5, 12, 26. May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31. June 7, 14, 21, 28

Foundational illustration and perspective drawing classes for youth grades 7 through 12, will be on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Youth will learn foundational drawing and painting skills in charcoal and oil paints! Classes will take place on the following dates: March 4, 11, 18, 25. April 1, 8, 15, 22. May 6, 13, 20, 27. June 3, 10, 17, 24.

Foundational still life drawing and painting classes for adults, will be on Wednesday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.  Adults will learn foundational drawing and painting skills in charcoal and oil paints! Classes will take place on the following dates:  March 12, 19, 26. April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. May 7, 14, 21, 28. June 4, 11, 18, 25.

Analytical Figure Drawing and Portraiture will be offered to both youth grades 7 through 12, and adults on Friday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Students will get an opportunity to learn muscular and skeletal anatomy, and how to invent people in different poses without reference and create believable spaces in perspective. Portraiture skills will be taught as well both from observation, and from photographic reference.
